Did you know your wellness journey may be covered by your HSA or FSA?

Native Wellness is an approved TrueMed provider, which means you can now use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) dollars to pay for eligible services, including personalized nutrition and lifestyle coaching.

How it works

We’ve partnered with Truemed, a service that verifies health purchases for HSA/FSA eligibility. If your wellness goals are related to a diagnosed medical condition (e.g., diabetes, anxiety, IBS, PCOS, chronic fatigue, etc.), you may be eligible to use pre-tax funds.

Step 1: From link below on TrueMed site, take a quick, private health survey. A licensed provider will review your answers to determine eligibility. If eligible, you'll receive a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) within 1-2 days.

Step 2: Make your purchase on Native Wellness using your regular credit card, not FSA/HSA card.

Step 3: If approved, you’ll receive a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) and instructions on how to submit it for reimbursement from your HSA/FSA provider. Claims are typically paid out in 1-2 weeks.

FAQs

  • Yes! Native Wellness is an approved Truemed provider. If your purchase is related to a qualified medical condition, you may be eligible to use your HSA/FSA funds. This applies to 1:1 coaching, group programs, functional lab testing, and practitioner-recommended supplements.

  • Eligible items include:

    • All group and 1:1 services and coaching packages

    • Functional medicine testing (GI-MAP, DUTCH, OAT, etc.)

    • Professional-grade supplements recommended as part of your care plan

Eligibility is based on whether the services are used to treat or manage a medical condition.

  • There is a one-time $15-30 fee for Truemed to create your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). But the overall potential savings make this worth it!

  • Please contact support@truemed.com to troubleshoot the issue. HSA/FSA plan administrators often have detailed requirements, so it may be as simple as re-issuing your Letter of Medical Necessity using the administrator’s form. If they are unable to reverse the rejection, they will refund your Truemed fee.
